Catharae has been a student to belly dancing since 1981, dancing professionally and teaching dance since 1991. She has taught classes for San Bernardino Valley College, San Bernardino Parks and Recreation Department, Suzanne's Dance Studio in Upland and Kindred Spirits. Her professional appearances include appearing for BellyGrams, Etc., Tonya and Atlantis' Belly Dance Showcase, the Marriott in Palm Desert, and numerous local clubs and private parties. 

In her words, "I feel the dance requires a degree of perfection in execution of the movements, but, even more, it is the expression of the inner dancer. This dance form is first performed for the dancer, the movements showing how she feels about herself. She then shares herself with others. I believe that we must balance our lives by mixing and blending needs; work that feeds the bank book and work that feeds the soul. And, as dance great, Martha Graham, said, 'We must do what beguiles us."

Special Events: An Evening of Arabian Nights. Arts of the "East Meets West" with the Mystic Dancer. Presenting exotic entertainment for your whole party, "Catharae" in full cabaret costume holds center stage, performing the sensuous art of belly dance. In a graceful style that is appreciated by both men and women, she expresses the music of the Middle East in dance movement. When the dance draws to a close, "Catharae" turns mystic; she joins the party interpreting mini tarot and palm readings for your guests

Belly Dance Lessons: (Private and group)
Most of the classes are ongoing, repeating every 4-6 weeks. Private lessons are available by appointment. Montclair, Corona, Redlands, Rialto, Laverne, Rancho Cucamonga and Walnut, California. Classes include beginning and intermediate sessions. Also available for group dance lessons/parties.
