Shimmies, Bellyrolls, Hip undulations - through these ancient expressions, I venture to take my audience away from this every day world and share with them a story of beauty, mystery, and power. Determined to dance from the heart and soul, weaving ancient wisdom with contemporary ideas - I have dubbed my form of dance "Eclectic Belly"

I was first captured by the art of belly dancing while watching old
James Bond 007 movies. Initially, the exoticism and sensuality appealed to
my sense of curiousity. But as I learned more about the art of
"Balady", I gained a respect for its history and tradition. Bellydancing is
both earthy and magical. We are innately designed mentally and physically
to express ourselves through its movements.

I am a local Angeleno and graduate of California State University at Northridge. I have several degrees in the areas of Psychology, Education and Social Services. The Gypsy in me continues to make me a scholar of life.

So what makes this so special?

A Space Between Both Worlds is a combination of structured and free expression formats. It represents our desire to improve our technique and still be able to celebrate the creative expression, which lies within each one of us.

Movement in the Space will begin with bellydance technique instruction then mind and body exercises that will improve your body’s ability to express itself.

But that’s not all - The Space will conclude with a period of open dance, where everyone will be able to release their individual creativity and to enjoy an atmosphere of shared creative dance expression. Freedom is the essential aspect of any art form, and A Space Between Both Worlds hopes to find just that balance, that wonderful place between technical practice and creativity.
