Jenza began her journey with belly dance in 1975 following in the foot steps of her mother, Samira , a widely known dancer and talented costumer. Samira sold handmade costumes under the name "Samira CostumeMaker " beginning in the 1970/80's. Jenza became a popular dancer and sought-after workshop teacher both in California, the Midwest, and internationally in New Zealand. Jenza danced in almost every restaurant or cabaret in the Los Angeles , Orange, and San Diego counties of California spanning the late 70's into the early 90's. Jenza's daughter, Sa'Elayssa, grew up back stage absorbing the dance culture, and became a professional dancer in her own right at the age of 16. Sa' Elayssa, now 26, makes her mom proud with her innovative theatrical solo's and troupe productions as "Desert Sin's" co-director and choreographer. Jenza's classes are known as one of the most fun and lively around. Jenza dances with a joyous energy and emotional presence that is a rare treat. In addition to her many classes and local events, she now partners with her mother, Samira in producing one of the most stunning gypsy skirts in the business.
