Photographer:  Brent Springbett Namira began her dancing career at age five when her Mother enrolled her in her first Ballet class.  She then continued her studies of classical ballet through out her life as well as Pointe, character ballet, pas de deux, jazz, Lyrical, Hip-hop, African, tap, Hawaiian, Tahitian, Latin styles, Flamenco, aerials, and gymnastics.  Namira fell in love with the Middle Eastern style of dance after being asked to perform in an Arabian Nights themed show.  She really enjoys the beauty and athleticism as well as the charm and emotional aspects of the dance. Her first professional dance performance was at age twelve in a Polynesian revue.  Namira  dances and choreographs professionally for film, television, commercials, Broadway musicals, Las Vegas revues, conventions, restaurants, competitions, and private functions.  Namira is featured on the "Tito's Show 2008" DVD, and on the soon to be released "By dancers for dancers Vol 3 or 4" DVD. with Brothers of Beladi In Feb. 2007, Namira traveled to Egypt to attend the 3rd Cairo Seminar "Dance of Egypt" with the legends Mahmoud Reda and Farida Fahmy.  Namira was one of 13 professional dancers and teachers selected to attend the program and receive international recognition and a teaching certificate in Egyptian dance. Namira has also had the privilege to take classes with Aida Nour, Raqia Hassan, Lubna Emam, Zahra Zuhair, Hadia, Suzanna Del Vechio, Morocco, Meissoon, Tito, and many more.  She continues to study, practice, perform and teach many dance styles. Namira has won several awards including North Valley's Live Music Soloist 2007, featuring Light Rain, "Rising star", "Alternative Music Professional", "Intermediate Soloist", 1st runner-up "Belly Dancer USA", 1st runner up "Entertainer of the Year", 3rd runner-up "Belly Dancer of the Year", and her group, Jaouahir Tahoe, won "Trio of the Year 2007" BELLYDANCE CLASSES: Lake Tahoe Community College. Intermediate and Beginning Middle Eastern Dance (Belly Dance), and Beginning and Intermediate Jazz dance, All classes are held in the College dance studio. Private, semi-private, and small group classes are available by appointment at my studio, or at your location.  Please contact me for more information. Many different styles of dance are available for instruction, choreography and performances.  Middle Eastern (Belly dance), Hula, Tahitian, Ballet, Jazz, lyrical, hip hop, partnering, and Latin.  Exercise classes including private weight training, yoga and pilates, are also available upon request. Namira, Jaouahir Tahoe, and other dancers and Models are available for local, national and international performance, instruction (group, private and semi-private), Choreography, workshops, seminars, shows, concerts, and video production.  Many different styles of Middle eastern dance are available as well as Polynesian (Hula, Tahitian, and fire).  Jazz, hip-hop, contemporary, ballet, and various ethnic styles. Dancers make a fun and exciting addition to your party or special event.  Our beautiful and talented dancers can appear in a variety of costumes, from a flashy, Hollywood-style cabaret outfit to an earthy ethnic look.   "Dance lesson parties" are especially popular for bridal showers, baby showers, women's club meetings and birthday parties for women and little girls. Our dancers are available for "meet and greet" socializing at parties and events. Belly-Grams are a fun way to surprise someone at a birthday, anniversary or retirement party.  These short performances are just the thing to kick off a lively celebration. Weddings and other Milestone Occasions:  We can provide you with experienced dancers and musicians for your special day. Dancers and/or Models are also available for festivals, fundraisers, cultural events, graduation parties, corporate events, Museums/Gallery openings, Restaurants and night clubs, educational events at grade schools or Universities, etc. Please ask about our Special Packages for Bachelorette parties, Sweet sixteen birthday parties, Bridal and baby showers, and Little girls themed parties.
